This is one of the agricultural cooperatives models that apply modern technology to production and implement effective link chains, especially the product consumption stage.

After nearly 2 years of establishment, so far, Dong Thanh Dairy Cooperative has 8 members and 70 farming households. The cooperative mainly buys and consumes fresh cow's milk from people in some communes of Hoc Mon and District 12.

Currently, the cooperative is purchasing milk from 78 farming households, with an average of 6 tons of milk per day. With an area of about 600 m2, the cooperative directly puts into production about 2 tons of milk / day, the rest supplies raw materials to Long Thanh Cow Milk Processing Company. The cooperative's production facility has attained a facility certification of food safety eligibility.

Mrs. Vo Thi Bich Lieu, director of Dong Thanh Dairy Cooperative, said that thanks to the policy of encouraging urban agricultural transfer in the city, with the support of the economic department and farmer association of Hoc Mon district, Cooperatives have boldly invested modern equipment into production.

The milk production line includes a specialized machine for gluing yogurt cups from embryo production, yogurt filling, squeezing and cutting finished products, a triangle packaging machine for yogurt, a line extract and pour pasteurized milk, two milk freezing tanks and a system of pasteurized fresh milk.

Cooperatives always uphold the benefits for cooperative members and farmer households, for members of cooperatives, the purchasing price of fresh cow's milk products is always 10 - 15% higher than the market price, for associated farmers' households is 5 - 10% higher than the market price. Products of the cooperative produce and process are yogurt (yogurt) with traditional fruit flavors, pure pasteurized fresh milk. Main consumption markets are some schools, first-class milk agents in Ho Chi Minh City and some southwestern provinces. In the coming time, the cooperative will continue to develop a key product, pasteurized fresh milk with 100% pure raw cow's milk in the locality, to serve the needs of consumers.
